Structural Security & Building Health (2/21/2024)
From completing the removal of the bowling alley, to backfilling the bar floor, to raising the structural components in the ceilings Bachmann Construction has been hard at work on 210-212 w Fulton st; since the change in weather.
Check out why the Bowling Alley portion of the building was leveled HERE!
Walking into 212 W Fulton St only a few months ago you would have been welcomed by a 2’x10′ hole in the floor with a crawl space and 6′ basement. Though disheveled and dangerous, you could see the history of construction in the different levels of bricks. For the safety of our future veteran tenants and to increase structural security of the building, the Bachmann crew worked tirelessly to backfill and level the area. Take a look at the layers of history in the BEFORE pictures and the future of 212 W Fulton St in the AFTER pictures.
AFTER
The next step for the crew was to raise the height of the structural components of the future ceiling. The goal of an 8″-10″ rise is halfway complete. The completion of the rise needs to be done slow and meticulous to ensure the buildings health throughout the process. With Bachmann Constructions years of experience the crew has been able to successfully listen to how the building communicates and have already achieved a 3.5″ rise! The process is scheduled to be completed next week with at least another 3.5″ to be raised.
