Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program_2025

NEW! BIG Changes: Qualifying individuals are STRONGLY encouraged to attend one of the distributions listed on the flyer. Once distributions have been completed, there will be no further opportunity to get vouchers until mid-August!
What is the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program?
Eligible seniors receive vouchers worth $25 to purchase locally grown produce at
approved farmers’ markets and roadside stands
Who is Eligible?
- Rock County residents age 60 or older (Native Americans 55 or older)
- Monthly household income not more than $2,413 for one person or $3,261 for two people, etc.
(see next page for Income Eligibility Table) - Though based on household income, each qualifying person may receive vouchers once in 2025.
What if someone cannot attend a distribution?
- Request a proxy form by calling 608-757-5428 (at least a week in advance of the distribution) which must be completed and signed by the intended voucher recipient;
- the completed form may then be taken to the scheduled distribution by the proxy (representative); vouchers will be issued to the proxy on behalf of the senior unable to attend.
- Beginning August 12, any remaining vouchers will be issued on a first-come first-served basis only on certain days during limited hours (to be announced), while supplies last.
- Call 608-757-5428 in advance to find out hours of availability and if any vouchers remain.
