Quoting Over the Vines owner, Billie Kratky, from the very first Over the Vines event “We thought that a wine walk/run would be a fun way to bring people together to support a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts.” For the second year in a row she is correct! This years event managed to raise nearly $22,000, which will go directly to providing meals and snack packs for kiddos and their families in Edgerton. Quoting ECO’s Executive Director Sarah Williams, “This certainly is a need in our community.

In 2022 Edgerton Outreach provided 20,110 snack packs, 1,183 ‘Grub Club’ meals and 3636 Lunch in the Park meals. Comparing 2022 to 2023 the snack pack totals have increased by 10%. “We are seeing the numbers for assistance grow, especially after additional Covid-19 funding has ended. As an example, we have seen an increase in food insecurity needs at the Outreach Food Pantry. Through the end of September this year we have helped provide food to 1,788 people across 709 families.
