Coldest Night of the Year 2025

What does a Team Captain do?

Team Captains are the backbone of CNOY. Here’s what they do:
–Create their team online (pick their location + charity, their fundraising goal, and a sweet name)
–Recruit other people to walk on their team, and encourage teammates in their fundraising efforts
–Provide help to walkers with questions (and send them to the CNOY Team if needed!)

On CNOY Day, Team Captains rally their team together, congratulate them on a job well done, and walk with those who need a pal to walk alongside.

What does a Walker do?

Besides walking along side us on February 22 a walkers only other responsibility is to fundraise and collect donations directly from the ‘walker’ page on the website.
Asking for donations can be scary but by taking advantage of CNOY and ECO support, using the fundraising tips and proven campaigning strategies, connecting with potential donors directly, and by sharing their direct donation link through messaging platforms and social media, it is easier than ever to start collecting

Learn more about CNOY Event and ECO’s involvement

Edgerton Community Outreach (ECO), is participating in Coldest Night of the Year. Coldest Night of the Year is an international family-friendly walk that raises money for local charities that help people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt. Participants join forces with ECO to gather donations towards their walk. ECO’s fundraising goal is $20,000 with the proceeds benefiting the remaining building costs for their Veteran Housing Project located at 210 West Fulton Street.
Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly event welcoming those of all ages. Participants of the event choose to either gather a team or fundraise together, or walk and fundraise by themselves. Each team and their walkers register through the easy set a fundraising goal to strive for. Asking for donations can be scary but by taking advantage of CNOY and ECO support, using the fundraising tips and proven campaigning strategies, connecting with potential donors directly, and by sharing their direct donation link through messaging platforms and social media, it is easier than ever to start collecting.
Becoming a fundraising master is not the only way to get involved! There are over 40 volunteer opportunities at Coldest Night of the Year from Check-In, Drivers, Food, Parking, Cheerleaders, and more. If fundraising isn’t what you’re looking for, but you would still like to get involved, becoming a volunteer is the perfect solution! Volunteers can register on the same website as the walkers.
CNOY will take place on February 22 at Lounge 1848 located at 112 West Fulton Street, Edgerton, WI 53534. We ask registered volunteers to congregate at Feels Like Home at 3pm on the day of the event. Check-in for participants begins at 4pm at the starting location. The walk begins at 5pm, with walkers required to be on the route by 6pm and returning to Lounge 1848 by 7pm.
ECO has been an active part of the Edgerton community for many years. They are excited to begin a new event that directly involves community families and beyond,  all with the goal of finishing their continued project to house Veterans, Veteran families, and give our local VFW Post 2708 a permanent place to meet.
To register a team, as a walker, to become a volunteer or to donate to a walker, a certain team, or ECO directly visit our city’s Coldest Night of the Year page at CNOY.com/Edgerton.
