Serving Those In Need

Holiday Program Sign-Ups

Posted on by Sarah Williams

Families with children living in the Edgerton School District that need a little help this Christmas Season may sign up for Gifts for Kids/Giving Tree at Edgerton Outreach during regular business hours.

If you are new to the programs of Edgerton Community Outreach, Inc. you will need to bring in proof of residency (power bill/lease/item mailed to you at your house) and identification for self and all children that live with you in the Edgerton School District.  Identification includes but is not limited to driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card, insurance card or school report card.

Gifts for Kids (http://edgertongiftsforkids.org/)  serves children ages birth to 5th grade.  At the Gifts for Kids distribution parents shop for gifts for their little ones.  Registration needs to be completed by December 7th.

The Giving Tree Program serves children who are in 6th through 12th grades.  Parents with children in this age group will need to fill out a form stating two wanted items for their children and two needed items.  These “wish” items are placed on tags at local churches, businesses, or can be picked up at Edgerton Outreach and volunteer shoppers purchase items from the wish tags.  For more information about shopping for an older youth in our community contact Emily Pope 608.921.9268 or outreachpope@gmail.com.  Giving Tree has the same registration date of December 7th so that gifts can be purchased and wrapped before distribution on December 11th.
