Dear Community Partners,

The summer months are tough for those we serve, especially families with children.  In Edgerton over 30% of children in our district receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch during the school year.

Their need does not take a vacation during the summer months.  We have been given a challenge again this year to match a $5,000 gift to benefit ECO’s hunger related programs:

Food Pantry:  Serves over 150 families each month.  Each year over 900 individuals in our community receive food from that pantry at least once throughout the year!

Breakfast Snack Pack Program:  Free program at Elementary Schools through which students receive a snack to have with morning milk to ensure no child goes hungry.

Lunch in the Park:  Provides nutritious lunch to any child in the Edgerton Area at Central Park Monday through Thursday that would otherwise go without.  Approximately 40-50 meals are served daily.   Last year, the first year for the program, over 190 unduplicated youth participated in the program.

Weekend Grub Club:  ECO’s newest program that provides kid friendly food for children that need some extra help to get them through the weekend.  This program is a community partnership between Edgerton Schools, Emmaus Church, Gifts for Kids and Edgerton Community Outreach.

ECO needs your help to meet the financial needs of these programs!  Your donation given June 15, 2018 through August 31, 2018 will count as part of this challenge!!  Donations of any dollar amount are greatly appreciated and can be mailed to 106 S. Main Street, Edgerton, WI  53534 or can be made online at www.edgertonoutreach.org.  Please help us ensure that no one goes hungry in our community.
