Edgerton Community Outreach (ECO) is pleased to announce its partnership with Steve and Nicki Stricker and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation to help complete the campaign to renovate the ECO building and provide additional services to its clients. In 2010, Steve Stricker graciously signed on as ECO’s Honorary Chair for the Renovation Campaign. Steve and his family have not only been “hands on” when it comes to helping ECO; serving dinners at ECO’s community meals, but have also generously donated to ECO’s fundraising events.
The Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation supports programs, initiatives, and organizations that build strong families and healthy kids. The support of the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation will help ECO create space adequate to serve those in need that seek out ECO’s services.
ECO was awarded $375,000 through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program in 2011 to be utilized for the remodel of the Thrift Store, Food Pantry, and client service center. The award requires a dollar for dollar match. ECO has successfully raised $225,000, leaving a gap of $150,000.
Steve Stricker and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation will match donations made in this final stretch of fundraising, dollar for dollar, up to $75,000! This Challenge Gift actually doubles donations made to the Renovation Campaign twice. First by the CDBG program and then again by the Steve Stricker Challenge Gift!
